Infradata's partner Infoblox now enables organisations to automate core services and data centres such as Red Hat Ansible. Throughout their newly announced updates for its Network Identity Operating System (NIOS), the updates facilitate rapid deployment of network and security services via the cloud.

Cloud security with extended protection against the spread of malware and loss of data

The connection between on-premise NIOS based systems and Infoblox’s ActiveTrustCloud, extends protection against the loss of data or the spread of malware for devices at any location. Infoblox ActiveTrustCloud is a SaaS-based DNS security service. The native integration eliminates the need for endpoint agents or separate virtual machines to integrate with Infoblox its cloud security services.

NIOS is Infoblox’s proprietary system delivering core network services for a security-hardened, real-time set of physical or virtual appliances. It is developed to ensure the continuous operation of network infrastructure. Automation of error-prone and time-consuming manual tasks, related to deploying and managing DNS, DHCP, and IPAM, is now also ensured. These are required for continuous business uptime and IP network availability.

Core Networking and the disruption to essential services

Connecting enterprise devices, applications and services, makes organizations depend on a range of core network services. These include IP address management (IPAM), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Time Protocol (NTP), and Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP), and more.

Disruptions to these essential services in the era of the digital transformation, says Infoblox, can carry significant consequences, including losses in sales, productivity, customers and revenue. According to Infoblox such inadequately secured services, may expose the company network and data to cyber threats.
