Leiden, 18th january 2010 – ACN has selected Juniper Networks for their new European datacenter in Amsterdam. ACN is the world’s largest direct-marketing company in telecom and offers telecom services at low pricing to consumers and small companies in Europe, Northern-America and Asia Pacific. ACN’s growing product portfolio exists of digital-, fixed-, and mobile telecommunications and internet through ACN’s own state of the art network.

ACN has selected Juniper M Series for core routing in the new European datacenter in Amsterdam. For the switching infrastructure they have selected EX Series and the SRX Series firewalls have been selected to protect the entire infrastructure. Infradata is ACN’s preferred partner and will take care of delivery and support on the equipment. Infradata will also provide support for the existing Acme Packet Session Border Controllers (SBC’s) and Juniper M120 equipment in ACN’s other datacenter.

The new datacenter will be operated through one operating system: JUNOS. This will ensure operational efficiency and will diminish the workload for the IT Infrastructure department. ACN has also selected Juniper because of the scalability, price and flexibility.

“We are delighted to have been selected by ACN as preferred partner in Europe”, says Leon de Keijzer, Managing Director of Infradata. “Because of our technical expertise we were able to create a future proof solution in which ACN can achieve its ambitious growth plans”.
