Hosted in London on 19th May, Nomios Next 2026 brought together customers, partners, and leading security vendors for a day of insight, discussion, and practical cyber security conversations. The event focused on the real challenges organisations are facing today, from vulnerability overload and operational visibility to data security and AI-driven risk.

Across the day, speakers explored how businesses can cut through growing complexity and focus on what matters most. Key themes included exposure management, data-centric security, and the importance of better context in modern security operations.

Cutting Through Security Complexity

Across the day, the conversations moved away from cyber security buzzwords and focused instead on practical challenges, vulnerability overload, cloud complexity, operational visibility, and the growing pressure AI is placing on security teams.

Rethinking Vulnerability Management

One of the standout sessions came from Jacob Dobson, Head of Security Operations at Nomios, who explored how vulnerability management is evolving into exposure management.

Security teams are overwhelmed with findings, but not every vulnerability represents real risk. The discussion focused on the importance of prioritising exploitability, attack paths, and business context instead of relying solely on severity scores.

It was a strong reminder that organisations need clarity, not simply more alerts.

Data-Centric Security Takes Centre Stage

Another highlight came from Ash Hunt at Cyera, whose session explored the rise of data-centric security.

As businesses continue adopting cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and AI-driven workflows, understanding where sensitive data exists, and who can access it. is becoming increasingly important.

The session highlighted how identity, context, and data visibility are starting to shape the next generation of enterprise security strategies.

Better Context, Better Decisions

A broader theme throughout the event was the need to reduce operational noise.

Whether discussing runtime visibility, automation, or AI governance, the focus consistently returned to helping security teams make faster, smarter decisions with better context.

Looking Ahead

What made Nomios Next 2026 particularly valuable was its focus on real operational challenges rather than abstract predictions. The conversations reflected what security teams are dealing with right now - complexity, prioritisation, and the pressure to move faster without increasing risk.

Speaking at the event, James Allen, Managing Director at Nomios UK&I said:

We’re incredibly proud to have launched the inaugural Nomios Next event and to see such strong engagement from customers, partners, and industry experts throughout the day. The conversations reflected the real challenges organisations are facing right now, and it was fantastic to create a space where people could openly share ideas, experiences, and practical approaches to modern security.

A huge thank you to all of our speakers, partners, customers, and attendees for making the event such a success.

We look forward to continuing the conversation.
